Bloom Premium starts at $10 per month. The features that help you find a match are free for everyone. This page explains what you pay for, what you don't, and why Bloom is built that way.

## How Bloom makes money

Bloom is built so that we grow when our users' relationships grow. Most dating apps work the other way around. They earn the most from people who stay single and keep swiping, which quietly puts the company's incentives at odds with the people using it. When a match succeeds on a conventional app, that app loses a paying customer.

Bloom is designed for the opposite outcome. When two people match and their relationship grows, they keep using Bloom together in Relationship Mode, a shared space for committed couples. A successful match is not the end of your time with Bloom. It is the start of a longer chapter. That is what we mean by "the dating app that grows with you."

Because of that, we made a deliberate choice about what we will and will not put behind a paywall.

## Why base features are free

Seeing who liked you is free for every Bloom user. So are all preference filters, including filters for the things that matter most to you. In most dating apps, these two features are the main paywall. They are the levers the industry pulls hardest to convert free users into subscribers. Gating the tools that actually help you find a match would put us on the wrong side of the people we are trying to help, so we don't do it.

## What Bloom Premium includes

Bloom Premium unlocks the power-user and AI-assisted features: unlimited likes, AI-personalized date suggestions, AI-generated Journey sessions, the Private Notes AI scan, and an ad-free experience. Bloom is not a free product, and Premium is how we fund the work. What Premium does not do is gate your ability to see who is interested in you or to filter for the kind of person you are looking for. Those stay free.

## Why Bloom is cheaper than other apps

Bloom Premium is priced below every major competitor. As of 2026, Hinge's paid tiers start at around $30 per month and climb higher from there, and Bumble Premium runs from roughly $30 to $80 per month depending on the plan. Bloom sits well below both. Pricing across the industry changes often, so the exact numbers may shift over time, but the position will not. Bloom is built to be the affordable option, not the premium-priced one.

## How one subscription covers both partners

Bloom is a lifecycle product. It helps you find someone, and then it gives the two of you a shared digital space to keep growing together in Relationship Mode. Most dating apps don't have a couples mode at all, and the apps built only for established couples don't help you find a partner in the first place. Bloom does both.

That is why one subscription covers both people. When you and your partner are both using Relationship Mode, only one of you needs to subscribe. You are not paying twice for the same shared experience.

## A note on ads

Bloom shows banner ads to people on the free tier, in both dating and Relationship Mode. An ad-free experience is one of the benefits of Bloom Premium. We would rather be straightforward about that than imply Bloom is ad-free when it isn't.
