That is exactly the level of suspicion a dating app should have to clear before it gets your email address, let alone your photos and your hopes. Dating is a category with a long history of fake profiles, ghost towns dressed up as communities, and apps designed to charge you for the exit.

So here is the full answer, written by me, Craig Cossairt, the founder. I will give you the verifiable facts, the honest limitations of a pre-launch company, and enough pointers that you can check everything yourself.

The short answer

Bloom is a real company building a real product, and it has not launched yet. Bloom Dating, Inc. is a Delaware C-corporation, incorporated in March 2026, based in Utah. The app is built and in beta testing ahead of app store submission. There is no public user base today, which means the only thing Bloom currently asks of anyone is a spot on the waitlist.

If you were worried about the classic dating app scams, empty apps pretending to be full, bots posing as matches, subscriptions that are easy to start and impossible to stop, the pre-launch part is actually the easy reassurance: there is nothing to subscribe to yet, and we would rather tell you that plainly than let a landing page imply otherwise.

Who is behind it

Bloom is built by one person, with AI as a working coworker, which is its own story and I have told it honestly in Why I'm building Bloom. I am a solo founder, not a faceless growth team. My name is on the site, the about page explains the thinking, and the company's legal identity is exactly what it says it is.

The one-sentence version of the mission: most dating apps make more money the longer you stay single, and Bloom is built the other way around, a dating app that grows with you from first match into the relationship itself.

What exists today, concretely

Because "pre-launch" can hide a lot of vapor, here is the current, specific state of things:

• The product is built. The app exists end to end: intentional matching for singles, and Relationship Mode, the shared space a committed couple moves into after they find each other. It is in beta testing now.
• The company is real. Bloom Dating, Inc., Delaware C-corp, incorporated March 2026. Registered, banked, and operating in the open.
• The pricing is public before the launch is. Our pricing page already lays out what will be free and what will be paid, because the business model is the point of the company, not fine print. Seeing who liked you will be free. Every preference filter will be free. One subscription covers both people in Relationship Mode.
• The policies are written like we mean them. The privacy policy, terms, community guidelines, and dating safety guide are live and readable now, before we have users, so you can judge us on them before trusting us with anything.
• The launch plan is specific. Bloom launches first in Utah, along the Wasatch Front, and we have written openly about why Utah is first.

What does not exist yet, equally concretely

Honesty cuts both ways, so here is the other column. There are no users to show you and no success stories to point at, and any pre-launch company that shows you either should raise your eyebrows.
