Bloom is built for people who want meaningful connections — whether you are looking for a partner or growing a relationship you already have. These guidelines exist to keep Bloom a safe, respectful, and authentic space for everyone.

By using Bloom, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination.

Be Authentic

Use your real identity. Bloom requires real names, real photos, and accurate information. Your profile should represent who you actually are.

Use recent photos of yourself (no photos older than 2 years)
Do not impersonate another person or create fake profiles
Do not use misleading photos, including heavily filtered or AI-generated images that do not accurately represent your appearance
Provide truthful information about your age, location, and other profile details
Maintain only one account

Be Respectful

Treat everyone with dignity. Bloom is a space for genuine human connection. That requires mutual respect.

Do not harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate anyone
Do not use hate speech or discriminatory language based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic
Do not send unwanted sexual messages or content
Accept "no" gracefully — if someone is not interested, respect their decision and move on
Do not engage in stalking or obsessive behavior, online or offline
Be respectful in all communications, even when ending a conversation or relationship

Be Safe

Prioritize safety — yours and others'.

Do not share another person's personal information (photos, address, phone number, workplace) without their consent
Do not post nonconsensual intimate images of any person — this is both a violation of our guidelines and potentially a crime
Do not use Bloom to facilitate any illegal activity
Report any behavior that makes you feel unsafe — we take every report seriously
Do not encourage or facilitate self-harm or violence

Be Honest About Your Intentions

Communicate clearly about what you are looking for.

Be upfront about your relationship goals and expectations
Do not use Bloom to promote a business, sell products, recruit, or solicit money
Do not use Bloom for any form of sex work solicitation or commercial activity
Do not use the platform to send spam or mass messages
Do not create an account solely to promote social media accounts or external content

Respect Relationship Mode

Relationship Mode is built on trust between partners.

Do not use shared features (photo albums, calendars, lists) to share content that is harmful, harassing, or retaliatory toward your partner
Respect your partner's contributions to shared spaces — do not delete or modify your partner's content maliciously
If your relationship ends, treat shared content respectfully — both partners retain access to the keepsake archive
Do not use Relationship Mode to monitor, control, or manipulate your partner
If you experience controlling or abusive behavior from a partner through Bloom, please contact safety@bloom.date

Protect Minors

Bloom is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to use the Service.

Do not use Bloom if you are under 18
Do not post, share, or request content depicting minors in any context
If you suspect a user is under 18, report them immediately through the app or at safety@bloom.date
Any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors will result in immediate account termination and reporting to law enforcement, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)

Content That Is Not Allowed

The following content is prohibited on Bloom in all contexts (profiles, messages, shared features):

Nudity or sexually explicit content in profile photos (intimate content shared privately in messages between matched adults is at your own discretion, but must always be consensual)
Nonconsensual intimate images (real or AI-generated)
Content promoting or glorifying violence, terrorism, or self-harm
Hate speech, slurs, or symbols associated with hate groups
Graphic violence or gore
Illegal drug use or promotion of illegal substances
Content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights
Spam, scam content, or phishing attempts
Photos of minors (unless they are your children and clearly part of a family context — you must be in the photo with them)

How We Enforce These Guidelines

We use a combination of user reports, automated systems, and human review to enforce our Community Guidelines.

Enforcement actions include, in order of severity:

Warning — for minor or first-time violations
Content removal — the specific content is removed
Temporary suspension — your account is temporarily disabled
Permanent ban — your account is permanently terminated

The severity of the action depends on the nature of the violation, your history on the platform, and the potential harm to other users. Serious violations (threats of violence, NCII, exploitation of minors, fraud) result in immediate permanent bans without warning.

Fraud bans: If you are banned for fraudulent activity, we will notify members who communicated with you within 24 hours, as required by law.

Appeals: If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing support@bloom.date with the subject line "Guidelines Appeal" within 6 months.

How to Report

If you encounter a violation of these guidelines, please report it:

In-app: Tap the report button on any profile or in any conversation
Email: safety@bloom.date

All reports are reviewed by our team. We do not disclose the identity of reporters to the reported user.

Updates to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through in-app notice. Updated guidelines take effect upon posting unless otherwise stated. These guidelines are incorporated into and form part of our Terms of Service.
